Atascadero, June 19, 2020

Kennedy  Club Fitness-Atascadero is partnering with the Atascadero Chamber of Commerce to offer two ‘Pop-Up’ classes Saturday, June 27th in Atascadero’s Sunken Gardens.  The classes are free and open to those 18+.  The past two years the classes were held the morning of the Atascadero Wine Festival, renamed Central Coast Wine Reserve in 2019.  Since the festival was cancelled, event organizers wanted to maintain some elements of the festival by bringing back ‘Wine-d Up’ Cardio at 9a-9:30a and ‘Wine-d Down’ Yoga from 9:45a-10:30a.  Debra Albert, Marketing/Communication Manager says, “When the City of Atascadero and Chamber had to cancel the Central Coast Wine Reserve this year due to COVID-19 gathering restrictions, we wanted to still bring people together in a safe and healthy way on that event weekend. It seems the perfect opportunity to energize and uplift  each other after weeks of sheltering in by exercising together, outside, properly distanced, enjoying each other’s company even if it is six feet apart.”  ‘Wine-d Up’ Cardio kicks off at 9a and is thirty minutes of cardio blast to get your heart pumping and calories burning.  ‘Wine-d Down’ Yoga follows at 9:45a with forty-five minutes of Yoga strength, stretch and relaxation movements. The classes are free and open to the public (18+) and all fitness abilities are welcome The morning ends with a live drawing for those participants present to win. Says, Sean Kennedy, General Manager of Kennedy Club Fitness- Atascadero, “We invite all ages and fitness abilities to join us for one or both classes.  Besides bringing a towel or Yoga mat and water, the only other thing you need is the expectation you’re going to have a blast and make new friends”.  Classes are limited to 50 participants on a first-come basis.
