New to the Club? We are ready and waiting to assist you with your fitness goals. Schedule your complimentary fitness training session, InBody Scan and nutrition consultation at the Front Desk today.

Now that school is back in session it is the perfect time to spend a little extra time on your workout.

  1. Pack your gym bag the night before
  2. If you’re working out before work, put on your workout clothes immediately when you get out of bed—don’t give yourself time to talk yourself out of it.
  3. If you’re working out after work either change at the office or drive straight to the Club. Don’t sabotage yourself by going home first.
  4. If you’re short on time, schedule yourself a quick 30 minute incline walk on a treadmill or try our circuit training station on our main floor—it only takes about 30 minutes
  5. You are a success!

Have you met this month’s featured trainer, Aidan Lacy? Aidan has a Bachelors in Kinesiology and is CPR/AED certified. He specializes in strength training, hypertrophy, and functional training. He is taking new clients and is available Monday-Friday. To schedule a complementary consultation with Aidan, contact Janey at the number above.

This month’s fitness tip from trainer, Aidan Lacy:Why is stretching so important? Using different kinds of stretches can help with overall flexibility and mobility. Using static stretching, dynamic stretching, ballistic stretching, and foam rolling after a workout can help with recovery and assist in injury prevention. If you have a general stretching routine change it up by using different kinds of stretching for further benefit and if you’re just starting to stretch, try out as many different styles as you can.”

KIDZ CLUB: Nate, Kidz Club Director (805) 781-3488 ext. 20.

For our new members, to ensure you and your children have a great experience in Kidz Club, please see our Kidz Club Guidelines here

Please note that we have adjusted our night time hours and Kidz Club now closes at 7p every weeknight. You can see our full hours of operation here.

A few reminders…Even though summer is over, please continue to call us with your reservations. Especially if you have a baby that needs holding, a child that requires more one-on-one attention, or if you have multiple children, it is our goal to accommodate everyone but proper and safe supervision is paramount and we don’t want to turn any parents away from getting in their needed workout time. However, for safety reasons we strictly adhere to our adult-to-child ratios so during peak times, you may have to wait if you do not have a reservation. Calling ahead makes it so much easier.

Kids get hungry as they play, even if they have recently eaten. Please bring a healthy and non-sugary snack for your child. We do provide filtered water when the kiddos are thirsty but we do not offer snacks because of varying allergies or dietary restrictions. We are also a ‘peanut free zone’. When checking in your child, let us know of any special requirements or allergies.

While we have not had a problem in Kidz Club, the Hand Foot and Mouth virus has cropped up in SLO this summer and with kids back in school, there is an increase in exposure to all new germs. If your child has been to Kidz Club recently and then falls ill with anything that others can catch, PLEASE LET US KNOW. When this happens we do extraordinary disinfecting to ensure no contagious germs are left behind. We are proud of our clean and safe space and do everything in our power to keep your kids healthy and happy.

AQUATICS and POOL Happenings: Nate, Aquatics Director (805) 781-3488

Welcome to the Pool Deck new and returning members! For your convenience, here are the ‘politeness guidelines’ for your pleasant pool fitness experience.

Lap Swimming Guidelines:

• When choosing a lane, please choose lanes with people of similar speed and/or participating in the same activity.

• If you are the sole swimmer in the lane, choose one side of the black line to swim for the entirety of your swim.

• If another person enters, both swimmers can continue to swim on their respected sides of the black line.

• If a lane already contains two swimmers, you now must circle swim.  When circle swimming, swim with the black line always on your left shoulder and continue swimming in a clockwise fashion.

• Regardless of the number of swimmers in your lane, please always be considerate of your fellow swimmers and alert them of the method you choose to share.

Continue to improve your swimming abilities year round by signing up for private adult and youth swim lessons . Ten-lesson packages for members are $220 and on-members pay $270 and they never expire. We can schedule your lessons throughout the year to help retain and improve skills learned this summer. For more information, email Nate at sloaquatics@kennedyclubs.com or call the club today

As long as our warm weather cooperates, Family Swim will continue on Saturdays 1p-4p . Watch the Newsletter and signs around the Club for when Family Swim will take a winter break. For now, come join us.

KIDZ CLUB: Barb LeMoine, Kidz Club Director (805) 481-2888

New to Kidz Club? Come prepared by reviewing the Kidz Club Guidelines here.

Help us keep Kidz Club a germ-free zone. Please keep your kids home if they are lethargic, congested, coughing, have a fever, sneezing, running nose or getting over the cold or flu. If your child has missed school due to illness they are also too ill to be at Kidz Club.  Children must be completely better before coming to Kidz Club. If we assess that a child isn’t feeling well or doesn’t fit in with the wellness guidelines, we will refuse care or request you pick them up. Please remember that it is up to us to protect all of our children from illness as much as possible and it is important to keep Kidz Club a safe and clean space for ALL children.

If your child has been to Kidz Club recently and then falls ill with anything that others can catch, PLEASE LET US KNOW.  When this happens we perform an extraordinary disinfecting effort immediately

to ensure no contagious germs are left behind. We are proud of keeping our Kidz Club germ free.

Reservations are strongly recommended and sometimes required for KCF-AG Kidz Club due to our smaller area. Our goal is to provide the best service possible and knowing how many children to expect so we can properly care for them is a vital element to providing this service.

Parents, please remember to bring diapers, wipes, snacks, change of clothes or anything you think your child may need while visiting Kidz Club. We appreciate you and enjoy caring for your children and encourage your input. Please call or email Barb LeMoine at agchildcare@kennedyclubs.com
